Prospective Visitation Academy Family,
Vision and Purpose — finely woven into the fabric of academic
excellence that is what a Visitation education is all about. Within
this spirit, I am pleased to learn of your interest in Visitation
Academy.
Visitation Academy has a unique personality and tradition of
educating children from preschool through eighth grade. Our mission
draws faculty who are committed to educating young women in the
Visitation tradition, integrating faith and spiritual guidance
within their everyday lives. The basics of knowledge, morality, and
religion are an integral part of the curriculum and the foundation
of the Academy’s quality of life. There is also an emphasis on the
role of family life, with mutual support and cooperation among
parents, teachers and students.
Our early childhood division, Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten has a
special culture that addresses age-appropriate needs in a nurturing
and creative environment. Our lower school, Kindergarten through 4th
grade, emphasizes fundamental skills which help the children to
become proficient readers and writers.
Interdisciplinary teaching and active learning are key components to
our middle school division. Students in this division, grades 5th
through 8th, focus on critical thinking through the
departmentalized academic program.
Visitation Academy is an exciting and unique experience. I look
