Educational Programs Offered at Visitation Academy

Visitation Academy continues to offer new programs to their students. This all-girl school keeps education exciting through the efforts of Mrs. Arlene Figaro, Head of School and its fabulous faculty, who always has the interest of the students as a priority.

Visitation Academy provides a unique learning enrivonment for the education of your girls. Visitation is located on 7.5 acres of monastery grounds in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The Old World charm of its physical setting houses a dynamic educational program that prepares its girls to be responsible women of tomorrow. An integrated curriculum, infused with moral and religious values, empowers students to meet the challenges and demands of the new millenium.

MATHLETICS

Visitation Academy will continue to participate in Mathletics for the 2011 - 2012 school year. Mathletics now includes the United States Math Common Core Curriculum. Mathletics is one of the world's most used mathematics educational websites. As an online learning resource, it is the next generation in learning and helping students enjoy mathematics and improve their results. Mathletics covers the full primary and secondary math curriculum.

This year, Kindergarten will be part of our Mathletics online community. Students in grades K - 8 may compete with students around the world. Students have 24/7 access to Mathletics. They can learn anytime and anywhere. There is a support center for every math concept. In addition, there is a free parent calendar. Mathletics is adaptive - it tailors questions based on the ability of the student and it provides immediate feedback. Best of all, it is fun to use!
