Visitation Academy, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn 8902 Ridge Blvd. Brooklyn, NY 11209 (718) 680-9452 Visitation News Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Visitation Academy wishes to thank the following families who generously donated to the school, enabling us to paint and renovate the Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classrooms:
Our gratitude and blessings are with you! Our teachers have registered with Adopt-A-Classroom, a connection with potential donors to supply our classrooms with funds that will help us better teach our students or help our projects succeed. The minimum donation is $25, and stores like Office Max and Kaplan take part in the program. Click on the picture above to get involved! When searching for our school, type in "Visitation Academy School" in order to find us. | The 8th Grade Student Council will be sponsoring a bake sale to help raise funds for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Their project is to build homes for our severely wounded troops. The veteran PFC Bryan Dilberian is a Brooklyn native and a graduate of Fort Hamilton High School. He played baseball for Immaculate Heart of Mary and grew up on East 3rd Street. He enlisted in the US Army in January 2010. After graduation, he was assigned to Dawg Company and later deployed to Afghanistan. On July 1, 2011, on a routine patrol, an IED exploded. Bryan was hit with shrapnel, losing both legs below the knee and his left arm below the elbow. From the beginning, Bryan's only regret was that he could not go back and rejoin his unit where he left behind many friends. Bryan is truly an inspiration to his family and friends. Help us help Bryan with building a home where he can live independently. The bake sale will take place Tuesday, February 14th, in the Alumnae Room of Visitation Academy, located at 90th street and Ridge Blvd. The community is invited from 1 pm to 3 pm to participate in this worthwhile fund raiser. |
